Travelling to and from the Cité Centre de Congrès (Lyon
Convention Centre)
The Lyon Convention Centre is situated at Lyon's northeast
Gateway, between the Tête d'Or Park, the Quai Charles de Gaulle and
the Rhône, right on the edge of the city center, near the northern
ring road and 5 minutes from a European motorway junction.
Arriving by AIR
Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport is the French airport with the
largest number of routes outside Paris, with 27 towns and cities
connected by daily scheduled flights, 43 scheduled international
routes, 19 charter routes and 7 cargo routes (winter
programme).
The Convention Centre is 25 minutes from the airport and
Lyon-Saint Exupéry multimodal station. It is 10 minutes from
Lyon-Bron business airport.
The Rhône Express tram train runs from Lyon-Saint Exupéry
airport to Lyon every 15 minutes, 7 days a week. The journey takes
30 minutes with the first train leaving at 05h00 and the last train

Arriving by PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The Lyon Convention Centre is 10 minutes from Part-Dieu TGV
station and 15 minutes from Perrache station. TGV trains run
between Lyon and Paris every hour or every half hour. Lyon - Paris

C1 : a fast trolley bus with a dedicated lane connects the Cité
internationale with Part-Dieu TGV station in 12 minutes. In
addition to this connection, a tramway line called LESLYS heads to
Lyon-Saint Exupery airport in 25 minutes. In addition to trolleybus
C1 which departs every 10 minutes, and buses n°4 and n°58, you can
take following buses as well:
C2 : from Gare Part-Dieu to Rillieux - Bus Stop Transbordeur
(Cité Internationale). N° 70 : from Gare Part-Dieu to Neuville -
Bus Stop Transbordeur (Cité Internationale).
Arriving by ROAD
The Congress venue is situated right at the city centre's
north-east entrance, next to the motorway network and northern
orbital road, Porte de Saint Clair exit, direction Cité
Internationale. By way of example, Lyon is 1h30 from Geneva, 3h
from Turin, 4h from Paris, 4h30 from Milan, 5h from Barcelona. Our
GPS reference is: 45°47.0829', 4°51.1488'.
There are 3350 covered car parking spaces at the venue. On
arrival at the convention centre, follow signs for P0, P1 or P2.

REGISTRATION TIMES
To avoid queuing at the event, delegates are reminded to utilise
the early registration, which will take place from 11.00 on Monday
6 June 2011.
Please note that these registration times are for Congress
attendees only:
Monday 6 June 2011: 11.00 - 18.00 (Early registration
recommended)
Tuesday 7 June 2011: 08.00 - 17.30
Wednesday 8 June 2011: 08.00 - 17.30
Thursday 9 June 2011: 08.00 - 11.00
REGISTRATION DETAILS
Congress badges will not be sent out before the event. Your
delegate badge will be available for collection from 11.00 on
Monday 6 June 2011. Please ensure you bring your email confirmation
with you when you register. If you have paid by bank transfer,
please bring a copy of your bank transfer details. Remember to
bring a copy of any documentation you have received.
For those in which payment has not been received, credit card
payment will be taken.
Please check the details on your registration and if any areas
are incorrect on your confirmation email or any further
correspondence please inform the administrator. These details will
be used to make your badge for the event. Should you find any
errors please contact the organisers via email r.gardner@hgluk.com stating
the delegate name, company and event.
The Congress registration will be held in the Terreaux Reception
Hall of the Cité Internationale.
For security reasons, we request that badges are worn at all
times for the duration of the event.
Delegate badges MUST be taken to all social occasions.
PRESS
Member of the press are invited to attend the Congress free of
charge. Press registrations should be made online at
www.itsineurope.com/registration. A scanned copy of your valid
press ID must be sent on the date of your registration to r.gardner@hgluk.com to
validate the booking. For any press queries, please contact Sophie
Barnes at s.barnes@hgluk.com. Member of
the press may select to attend the Congress and the Exhibition or
the Exhibition only. Their ID must be presented when collecting
badges onsite. The organisers reserve the right to refuse
acceptance of any registration that does not adhere to these
requirements. This option is available as a one or three-day
option.
STUDENT DELEGATE AND STUDENT SPEAKER / MODERATOR
Students (under 30 years of age) must register via the website
at www.itsineurope.com/registration. A scanned copy of your valid
international student card or official letter from your university
stating that you are a full-time student must be sent on the date
of your registration to r.gardner@hgluk.com to
validate the booking or Tel. + 44 (0) 207 973 4617. Students must
also present their ID when collecting badges onsite. The organisers
reserve the right to refuse acceptance of any registration that
does not adhere to these requirements.
PASSPORT AND VISA DETAILS
To check whether you require a visa to enter France please
visit: www.visabureau.com/worldwide/french-visa.aspx If you do need
a visa to attend the Congress, please apply as soon as
possible.
It is the delegates' responsibility to apply for a visa. The
event terms and conditions apply regardless of whether visas are
granted. Visa letters will be issued at the organisers' discretion.
To receive an invitation letter and additional information about
the Congress to accompany the visa application form, please contact
Rachel Gardner on email r.gardner@hgluk.com. Letters of invitation
will only be sent out within two working days of receipt by
standard priority postal mail. A scanned copy of the letter will be
sent to the given email address at registration. If you did not
receive the invitation letter, please contact Rachel Gardner.
EARLY AND STANDARD PAYMENT RATES
For bookings made and paid before 27 April 2011 a discounted
'early payment' rate applies. After this date the increased
'standard payment' rate is applicable to all bookings. This fee
structure means that unless a payment is made by debit/credit card
online at the time of completing the registration, your invoices
will display the standard payment rate. Invoices issued before 27
April 2011 will show details of the amount that may be deducted
from the total payable if the full amount due is received by us
before 27 April 2011.
French TVA
As required by French TVA legislation, French TVA / VAT will be
charged at 19.6% on all bookings unless the delegate is employed by
a French business which is registered for TVA and the delegate
provides a valid French TVA number at the time of registration. In
which case, the reverse charge procedure will apply.

WARM WELCOME AFTER THE OPENING CEREMONY
Following the Opening Ceremony, take some time to get together
and network with colleagues and new friends in the Reception Hall
of the Cité Internationale. The event will take place between 19.00
- 20.00 on Monday 6 June, and a selection of drinks and light
refreshments will be served.
TECHNICAL VISITS
The Technical Visits are organised by Volvo Technology. All
requests for information and communications in connection with
these aspects of the event should be directed to Bernard Favre at

The Hemming Group Ltd is acting as an agent for Volvo Technology
solely in the collection of payments relating to the above
activities.
GALA DINNER
The Gala Dinner will be held on Wednesday 8 June 2011 at I-Way.
